Welcome to IBGS15 & IBWLD
The 15th International Barley Genetics Symposium & 3rd International Workshop on Barley Leaf Diseases
Dundee, Scotland
International Barley Hub @ The James Hutton Institute
Save the week starting Monday 25th October 2027
The International Barley Genetics Symposium (IBGS) is the world’s leading gathering for researchers, breeders, industry partners and organisations shaping the future of barley genetics and genomics. On 26th October 2027 IBGS15 arrives in Dundee, Scotland a global hub for plant science and home to world-class research in barley improvement, crop resilience and sustainable agriculture.
The 3rd International Workshop on Barley Leaf Diseases (3rd IWBLD) will take place prior to IBGS15 on 25th October 2027 marking 10 years since the previous workshop in Rabat, Morocco (2017) and continuing the series first established in Salsomaggiore Terme, Italy (2014). IWBLD will welcome colleagues from around the world to discuss current challenges, emerging research, and future priorities for disease management. IWBLD provides a valuable opportunity for delegates to connect across genetics, pathology, and applied crop protection in one of the world’s leading barley-growing regions.
